I am a web site designer based in Truro, Cornwall. Using Microsoft Expression web 3 to design the layout, and various SEO tools to promote the site, I offer a good value web design and publication service.
I already have a full time career in IT, but have wanted to develop some design skills outside of work. I did some basic work for my City and Guilds level 2 in IT, and ever since then have wanted to publish a site.
I prefer to create a simple working site, plain text, good links, no frills. I have done a few Flash animations in the past but in my opinion I feel they detract from the point of a website, which is to deliver information in a clean way. I purchase the domain, create the site and upload it. I begin registering the site with search engines and directories, and if the site has been designed for a local business, I also register it with www.yell.com and www.thompsonlocal.com
If further support of the site is required, this can be negotiated at the start of the project.
I designed this site www.evergreenlandscapescornwall.co.uk for Stuart Evergreen, a landscape gardener and designer based in Redruth who did a load of fantastic work for us.
This is a single web page I created for Ian Penfold, our local plumber - he also did some excellent quality work for us. www.ibpenfoldplumbing.co.uk The page was created as it is in order to get the ball rolling - at our next meeting I will collate more data, photos, references and so forth, and will add pages as necessary.
